In times of crisis, such as natural disasters, pandemics, and other unforeseen emergencies, the mental health of individuals and communities often comes under significant strain. The intricate relationship between emergency mental health and the innate human capacity for resilience. Drawing upon a multidisciplinary framework encompassing psychology, sociology, and public health, this study aims to dissect the various dimensions of emergency-induced mental health challenges while highlighting the remarkable resilience that individuals and communities can exhibit during such times. The psychological and emotional impact of emergencies, including heightened stress, anxiety, and trauma, which can lead to a range of mental health disorders. It emphasizes the importance of effective and timely interventions to address these challenges and prevent long-term psychological repercussions.
